I’ve just heard about Sandra’s passing and I’m so sorry I didn’t get to her funeral. What a lovely person she was. ( I knew her through Ari Bailey) Every time I bumped into Sandra she was so cheerful and positive. And what a radiant smile! Such a kind person gone far too soon.
So much time has passed since the 70’s and early 80’s hangout days. Always a pleasure catching up over the years. Loved your cheeky smile and wit and the way you carried yourself as the truly genuine caring and kind beautiful person you are remembered as. Thank you for the honored friendship and the memories that will live on within. Eternal peace. Condolences to all Sandra’s family and friends who hold her love and memories in their hearts forever Robin Tatham (Spud) Cuba NY

To the Slattery Family Condolences to you all for the sad loss of Sandra Thinking of you all Andrea, Colin & Raewyn Bishop from Wanganui
Arohanui to family and friends of the beautiful Sandy. I had the privilege to travel with Sandy and two others to Vietnam and the subsequent cruise. I also was witness to the care that Sandy took in the support of her long term and our mutual friend Moaari in her final weeks. As noted in all the tributes I have heard and read, Sandy was exceptional in her kindness and generosity. Her presence and memory will remain, despite this passing, and I wish you all my heartfelt blessing as you navigate this time of loss. Ngā mihi nui Deborah
Sandra was an exceptional person. She made our community such a richer place. Observing her concern and interest with the disabled, showed her true passion towards humanity. May she rest in peace and rise in Glory.

Dear Sandy, Thank you for all the love and support you offered us on our journey with Levi. Your support meant so much to us and made such a huge difference when we were struggling. We will never forget your bright light and how much you gave to the down syndrome community. I hope the next step in your journey has taken you somewhere wonderful and you have been reunited with all those who went before you. All our love

Condolences to the Slattery Family, so sorry and terribly sad to hear the passing of Sandra such a wonderful beautiful person May she rest in peace .
Sincere condolences to Sandra's family. I couldn't believe it when I heard. Sandra was my Bridesmaid back in 1984. We shared alot of laughs and fun over our late teens. Trips to New Plymouth on a Thursday after work to the hairdresser where Sandra wanted to get rid of her curls and I wanted curls. A girls trip to the Mount with Robyn and Claire in the Mini, haha, such fun. Thinking of you all.
Dear Sandra's family, I'm so terribly sorry for your loss. Sandra was my first boss after finishing university and I will always remember how kind and reassuring she was as I started my career in advertising. She was like a favourite Aunty, blurring the boundaries between boss and friend. Selfless to the core, I'm not surprised to read that she continued that drive in other aspects of her life after the newspaper. Condolences to you all, I have no doubt that she will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she's touched.
So very sorry to read this news. Sandra was a very well liked member of the TNL Family. Sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Sandy, a memoir of my minds eye, a reel of a real friend that was always there, quietly, being, doing, caring with your solid heart. Over the years she was woven into the fabric of the Grant clan, in all the places we were, near and far, she visited us too. Sandy, left us too soon, but I have faith that God placed His love, Word and Spirit in her heart to comfort and prepare her for the journey back to Him. Remembered with much love. Michelle Grant.
