Great memories of a cousin who at times took care of me as a youngster when he was working as a butcher in Dunedin, for Bartons (I think). He would pick me up from home as Dad was working, and take me with him for the day often picking up meat from the abattoirs at Burnside where I first saw pigs being slaughtered. A great life experience for a 10 year old. We have many cousins all with special parts in our hearts. Colin stood out as a loyal and respected relative and visited Dad and I whenever he was back in Dunedin. Dad had a real soft spot for Colin, maybe the army connection had a little to do with it but I think the visits to his old Uncle Jim were the reasons. RIP Colin
