I knew Gerard from our Lyndale Athletics days (yes, that long ago!) and use to train with him and Trevor. We kept in touch with funny videos or comments. So very sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts, love and prayers to all. Helena xx

Farewell Gerard I worked with Gerard for only a short time at Mt Eden Corrections Facility. It was amazing to watch Gerard at lock up time, he would easily lock up a wing of unruly prisoners on his own with absolute ease. Gerard stayed in touch long after I left the prison service. We would chat about our careers, education and investments. It was not long ago that Gerard told me he recently achieved his masters degree. A solid bloke in size, personality and conduct. Farewell my freind.
