LEAHY, Christine Margaret (Chris AROA)
On 13 September 2024, Chris passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved wife of Mike and treasured mother and step-mother of Wayne and Kara; Scott and Paula; Teresa and Renee; John and Jade; Paul and Clarissa. Loved nana of her 8 grandchildren.
A service to celebrate and remember Chris, will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, 19 September 2024 at Legacy Pāpāmoa - 53 Te Okuroa Drive, Pāpāmoa.
Special thanks to the staff at Ward 3C Tauranga Hospital; Dr Will Thompson and the Oncology Team at Tauranga Hospital; and Waipuna Hospice. All Our love & thoughts to Mike in the sad loss of his fabulous wife & awesome lady - Chris. She will be sadly missed on our marathon excursions. We loved her spirit and "go get them" attitude. RIP friend. Love - Stuart & Judy Brock. Sorry we can't be there today to celebrate Chris's life xx
Chris was always a big part of our marathon family. She was tenacious and determined. Her marathon achievements were remarkable. It was an honor to know Chris and to get to know her and Mike outside of the marathon events. Chris had such good dress sense. She always looked stunning. Chris was never afraid to speak her mind. I really liked that! Chris I will really miss you. You were loved and admired. Mike and family my heart is with you always x Pat
