MURRAY, Geoffrey Thomas - Peacefully at Southland Hospital on Sunday 21st September 2025, in his 98th year. Beloved husband of the late Ann. Much loved and cherished father and father-in-law of Scott and Julie, Leigh and Robyn, Ross and Belinda, Hunter and Andrea. A very special puppa of Sam and Ella, George and Abby, Ruby, Tom and Rachel, Kate and Greg, Jack and Rhyarna, Reid and Alisha, Rohan. Loved Great Pop of Brylyn, Lucas, Kyza, Nahla, Bella, Minnie. Loved Brother and Brother-in-law of Elaine*and Blair* Murray, Lynnie* and Doug* Muirhead, Brian* (Nick) and Barbara* Nicholson, Cam* Murray, Robin and Heather List. A much loved Uncle and Great Uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff at Rowena Jackson for their love and care of Geoff over the past 4 years, “Merci Beaucoup”. A service to celebrate Geoff’s (G.T.) life will be held in the Pirates Old Boys Rugby Club, 74 Lithgow St, Invercargill on Wednesday 24th September 2025 at 1pm, followed by a private burial in Arrowtown. Our condolences to all the extended family. Sorry we were unable to attend the funeral. Geoff & Ann were both very valued members of the Morton Mains District & the whole family was missed when they shifted away, Rest in Peace Geoff, now reunited with Ann.
Ave Geoff, you leave behind a multi-generational tribute to yourself and Ann, a family built on values and loyalty. Your influence extended beyond the family into the friends of your family and community.

Ann and Geoff made us all feel welcome, his sense of humour will be missed. He was a bloody good man.... Say no more.
Met the Murray clan in 1982, at Morton mains, sthland, made me feel welcome, and a piss take was always started by Geoff, and a healthy argument, laughter started.. Feel very lucky to have known him and Ann, plus there parents,good people.
I am so sorry to hear passing of Geoff he was a gentleman it was my pleasure to look after him.R.I.P Geoff you will be missed.
