Passed away peacefully on 21 September 2024 at Bruce McLaren Retirement Village, Pakuranga. Much loved husband of the late Julie (nee Jamieson) and son of the late Jack and Nancy Gould. Very loved brother of Gae Sweeney (Melbourne) and the late Pauline Deane. Much respected Uncle of his various nieces and nephews on both sides of the Tasman.
A wonderful man reunited with the love of his life Julie. Very special thanks to the staff at Bruce McLaren for their wonderful care of Ian over the last few years, we do appreciate it and latterly to the staff at Middlemore Hospital as well over the past 6 weeks.
A service will be held at the Pakuranga Chapel of Davis Funerals, 2A Udys Road, Pakuranga on 2 October at 1.30pm NZ time.

Ian was a very special friend - for the several years we worked at DB .Ian was Pay Clerk and I have to thank him so much for his wonderful contribution to keeping my savings untouched . Ian banked for me every week as I was saving to go on the big OE if I asked for the Savings Bank Book he would always ask - Do you really need or want to make a withdrawal !! He was always right and we would have a good laugh ,I was allowed to look at the balance !! I was very good friends with Julie then after Ian and Julie married - Ian and Julie met Rene and I and we kept in touch for lunches. Ian was a lovely man. Colleen Jansen ( nee Snell )
