Kia ora to my beautiful whānau, It was so beautiful to watch the lovely service and have a cry and smile in my lounge at home. I'm sorry I couldn't make it up. It was so lovely to see you all at Trevor's funeral and reconnect with you all. While a sad occasion it was so nice to see you back then. I loved the service and your contributions were done so well. Mama and Poppa bear would have been very proud. I thought the funeral person's words were so spot on and she really nailed her descriptions of Shirl's beautiful, magical, sparkly personality. I loved seeing Trevor and Shirl, she bought light and life to any situation and was so much fun to be around. Thank you for sharing all the memories and information surrounding her last days etc. I can't imagine how hard this must be right now and I hope that you can continue your wonderful parents legacy by being strong like they were. I just LOVE that image of the two of them running down the beach together in their togs and although I didn't know them when they were in their twenties this is how I am choosing to remember them! Carefree and fabulous. I think I can speak for all the cousins when I say we are so sad to loose such a wonderful Aunty and we are thinking of you at this hard time. Sending Aroha Jos, Toqui (Toki) and Kamaea. xx oo
