Passed away peacefully on Saturday 5 October. Dearly loved husband of the late Helena. Loved father and father-in-law of Bernadine, Michelle, Matt, Julie, Helen and their spouses. Loved Poppa of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Requiem Mass will be held at St Joseph’s Church Hawera, 38 Victoria Street, Hawera, on Thursday 10 October 2024 at 11am. Followed by his burial at Hawera Cemetery.
Rosary will be prayed at the Church on Wednesday 9 October at 6pm.

Our prayers and condolences to all the family at the loss of Uncle John. Uncle John took our boys under his wing and introduced them to farming life all those years ago of which they have very fond memories and speak of often. Thanks uncle John for the memories and years of care and compassion towards Mum and our family. RIP. Mike, Gabrielle, Gary and Robert Hopkins.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of John..so many good memories of him and Helena..the trips to Ireland and catching up with John at his home in January 2019..he was a kind and generous gentleman...since condolences to all the Mulligans and his good friends...RIP John...the Lallys in Ireland
