Celebrating the life of Lorraine, Sharalon and Rex’s mum—a remarkable woman whose ready smile, infectious laughter, warmth and kindness touched us all. We all have many memories of the beautiful gardens and homes Lorraine (and Alister) created. Lorraine had a way of making each of us feel special. To us (Sharalon’s friends), she was so much more than a mother to Sharalon; she was like an older sister. A guiding light, confidant and a great, great friend. Her eyes would twinkle as she shared a story or offered her wisdom. She had a unique gift for making everyone feel welcome. Lorraine, it feels as though you really are just in the next room.
