 Bereavement pānui on behalf of the Temara & Mikaere whānau regarding the passing of their beloved Partner, Dad, Koro, Brother, Uncle & Friend, Davis Tewi Temara, who sadly passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his whanau on Wednesday, 23rd October 2025.

For immediate whanau, Matua will lie at his son Randolf’s whare on Friday, then Matua will be taken to the Whaka homestead on Saturday. On Sunday, 26th October at 11am, Matua will then be taken to Te Pakira Marae, where he will lie for one night. Due to the current road situation in the village of Te Whakarewarewa, Manuao will wait at the archway to guide manuhiri to the marae atea.

 Whanau have confirmed that the Funeral Service will take place on Monday, 27th October 2025 at 11am followed by 12.30 burial at Kauae Cemetery, Rotorua.
