Jim, , Farewell old friend i have many memories f observing your skills logging from Seddonville through to Charleston. Also Richmond wood and Coal. You always had a smile and a kind word. Rest In Peace Condolences to Averil, Lindsay Grant and families
Lindsay Its a sad day ! As a father to my mate there were always great stories we would indulge in as the legend grew bigger! You know as well how Lindsay has an amazing ability to create side splitting stories of moments when Jim was delivering another of his historical / comical reality moments! ( the fire in the caravan in the driveway at Brightwater) is one that I’ve retold around the world!! One Which Jimmy Stuart’s antics will last forever . Lindsay ,Jane ,Emma & Sophie . Lindsay’s siblings and Jimmy’s grandchildren! When Madeline and I moved to Brightwater while Stockton project was being setup it was Jim that reached out with a contact for the house ,arm full of veggies from his garden along with a yarn & cuppa with him and Ray each day .while Jim would “keep a eye “out so Madeline always felt save in the knowledge that the Jim had her covered while I was away,He will be sadly missed but his legacy And antics will be with us forever! A really Great Barrrrrstard who’s son I’m proud to have been mates with since primary school ! Where we were absolute scholars and artful doggers of academic Tom foolery they tried to filter through to the area we had set aside for adventures away from the South School ,up the river , in the bush , on the Victory out in the Sounds . Jim Rest easy you have had a “Cracker Mate”thanks for the memories while showing us how to adventure out, also for Fathering my mate : .Jim Stuart true LEGEND
