Dear Brakenride & Fulton Cousins, Mom and I watched the beautiful service last night together. She was busy explaining the Fulton, Brakenridge family tree which certainly how grown since I was last in NZ. Mom reminisced of the wonderful times growing up staying with your mother and grandparents as a child. They shared a special bond, closer to siblings than cousins. Despite living so far away, they have been able to communicate often, more so in recent years. Mom told me they last spoke two weeks ago and had a lively conversation, bringing each other current on family affairs. The service was telling of what an amazing mother you were all so lucky to have. Wendy, Fiona, John and the children gave a heartfelt eulogy and I am sure your Mum is glowing from the warmth and legacy she has created in this world. She clearly was everyones sunshine.... All too often Mom is found having to say a final farewell to friends and family these days. But she was at peace with your mothers passing, as if she knew her life was fulfilled.
