Mitchell, William John (Bill), 1931 - 2024 Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 16 October 2024. Dearly loved husband of the late Margaret. Treasured father and father-in-law of Stephen, the late Mary, Paul and Helen, Anne, David, and Simon. Much loved by his eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. We will love and miss you forever. Requiem Mass for Bill will be celebrated at St Joseph's Church, 10 Dominion Street, Takapuna, Auckland on Monday 21 October at 11am. A Rosary for Bill will be said at 8pm on Sunday 20 October at the same church. Bill will be at 5/23 Napier Street, Freemans Bay on Saturday 19 October from 11am to 4pm for friends and family to visit and farewell.

I believe that when Bill Mitchell was Acting Chief District Court Judge, he declined the permanent position saying, he preferred to be sitting with the people. As a District Court Judge, he was outstanding. John Clearwater Lawyer Takapuna North Shore
