Peacefully on Wednesday, 16 October 2024 aged 81. Dearly loved husband of the late Jackie Wilton. Treasured partner of Trish Knofflock. Cherished father and father-in-law of Craig and Donna, and Scott and Zahirah. Stepfather of Bronya Mischefski and Ken Swan, and David Mischefski. Treasured Grandpa to Emerson, and Pappy to Ben, Jack, and Lucy Swan.

A memorial service for david will be held in the new staffroom at Spotswood College 129 South Road, Spotswood, New Plymouth, on Saturday November 2, 2024 at 10.30am.

Dave Plyler B.Sc M.Ed (Indiana). The Spotswood College Alumni extends its deepest sympathy to the extended Plyler family on the passing of Dave in New Plymouth. Dave moved to New Zealand from the USA and taught Mathematics at the College for 30 years from 1971-2000. His outstanding contribution to serve the College for this length of time will always be remembered by fellow staff members and his students. RIP Dave.
