Tributes

They say it takes a village to raise a child. Although i grew up in a loving family, My 20s were marked by turbulence. Ruth and Heath were an anchor for me, along with their beautiful children, in a way they will never know. Jesus with skin on.

Paul

From the time Heath was inaugurated as pastor, the whole congregation fell on love with Ruth. Ruth was so beautiful, but also Kind, gracious and respectful. I have never heard a disrespectful or unkind word of criticism from her. She was a special lady.. The last time I saw Ruth was about 2 years ago. One Saturday at Coyle Park at Point Chevalier Beach, we were just returning from a walk around the park and there was Ruth, with a happy smile and a fond greeting. She was her usual gracious and kindly self, despite recently saying goodbye to her loving husband who had departed to the glorious presence of Jesus. She was alone. I don't know why she happened to be there at just that moment, but she looked no different from the last time I saw her nearly 40 years before. I regret that the last time I saw Ruth was so long ago. I was saddened at hearing of her passing. She was one of those special people that I'll never forget. Heath and Ruth were a very special part if my live, as I'm sure they were to many others also. This mantel is passed on to the family in the service of Christ, to the extension of His Kingdom.

An amazing person. Even in her last years stylish and thinking of others. Condolences to her loved ones.
