Dear Mum: I’m really glad I got to see you in August! I’m sorry to miss your send off but I’ve got COVID and you know what that means. I wanted to make sure to thank you for all the little things you did that had such a huge impact on my life. Thanks for making my lazy self work on my homework! Thanks for figuring out how to get me into university! Thanks for letting me drive a car when I was 15. Thanks for being surprisingly supportive when I behaved unconscionably badly! I really do owe you my fundamental sense of morality, fairness, and justice. I will really miss you. Know that I have always loved you and will be forever grateful for all the little things.
