Tributes

Listening to the words spoken by those who knew her so well and loved my Auntie Liz so much, was truly wonderful. Your stories, experiences and eloquence in telling them, painted the perfect picture of the Auntie Liz I knew and loved. I feel very lucky to have had Auntie Liz in my life and will cherish the memories of her staying with me in Carnegie forever. A brilliant mind and a heart of gold are a rare combination. I couldn’t believe it when she would find and get me wonderful pieces of my dinner set to add to my collection. For all of those touched by Auntie Liz, we are the richer for it and she will live on in us as we remember this wonderful woman of decency and valour. Rest in peace, dearest Auntie Liz, and long life wishes to the family and all who knew her.

I have been able to take part via the computer in the service for Liz and celebrate her for all the fine qualities which were expressed so well by family and friends and which those of us in the art group (Art Enthusiasts) were also aware of. Liz was a gentle, thoughtful and kind woman and we are all better for having had the period of contact with her. My sympathy to all the extended family in their loss of such a special person.
