OVEREND, KAY (nee Stammers) Passed away peacefully aged 86, 20 October 2024, surrounded by love. The beloved eldest daughter of Florence and Joff, cherished wife of Royce, sister to Barrie, Leaine, Josephine and Julie. Cherished mother to Steven, Paul, Jason and Scott, loving mother-in-law to Niki and Sharon. Much-loved grandmother to Josh, Sam and Maggie and beloved friend of Rayna and Addi. A true adventurer at heart, Kay's love for family was her guiding light, and her joy in gathering her loved ones together brought warmth and happiness to all who knew her. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Kay's life and sharing memories at a service to be held at Dil's North Harbour Chapel, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany, on Friday 1 November 2.30PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimers Trust https://alzheimers.org.nz/get-involved/give-in-memory-of-a-loved-one

Memories of my lovely Aunty Kay Rocking horse Road spending weekends baking her famous shortbread biscuits which we all loved. At the Bach in kaikoura we’re all the families would come stay together so much laughter and love games music beach days riding the old Bach bikes climbing the hill , One song reminds me of Aunty Kay by Hot chocolate you sexy thing she would sing that out loud . In memory of my beautiful sister Kay My memories from our past We all know about kays two hour phone calls.kay used to royce at our local phone box one night she got the shock of her life some guy flashed himself at her no doubt one way of getting his turn well it must of worked came screaming home. Also remember Kay dancing on table top with rose clenched in her teeth Slightly tidily at Dad and mums anniversary in Auckland very amusing . Love for ever Xx
