I worked for Selwyn as a secretary when he was a lawyer many years ago. I always admired his intelligence and integrity. I had the greatest respect for him and even later in life I tended to contact him for advice as he could be trusted to think well about a problem. I was pleased to hear through his daughter that he had gone to Edmund Hillary as it sounded such a nice place and being so intelligent he would get the intellectual stimulation he needed. I am not surprised he made it to 95. Condolences to his lovely supportive family who I know he was very proud of.
