To Loimata, Dorothy, Children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, It is with great sadness that we extend our heartfelt condolences to you all on the passing of Malaeola Dale Moyer. Loimata, your family has lost a beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and we have lost a cherished brother and dear friend. It was truly our honor and privilege to have known Dale as our elder brother and to have shared such special moments with him, you, Dorothy, and your late son Abel through the Ponsonby Rugby Club and the Grafton Cricket Club. We only learned of Dale’s passing on Tuesday night when our daughter Rebecca informed us. Watching the video and hearing Dale sing brought back many wonderful memories of the times we all spent together as part of our rugby and cricket teams. Those moments will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We can only imagine the joyful reunion Dale is now having with all our team members who have gone before him. A Samoan Orator once Said: aua ete Tanu le e Pele ia Oe, ile Tuugamau, aua e I'u lava ona Galo Ia ia Oe, Ae tanu O Ia I lou Fatu, O le a Oulua Mafuta ai pea I Aso uma lava. Do not bury the one that you Love in the Grave, eventually you may forget them. but, bury them in Your Heart where they will always be with You Forever. Maligi, you fought the greatest fight of your life, but our Almighty Creator has called you to a new purpose and work in His heavenly kingdom. Ia tafi Mala e le tatou atua lau faigamalaga, ma ia maua lou nofoaga mau ile maota ile lagi ua uma ona saunia ile tatou atua o lo'o tatou tausinio uma iai. May you rest in peace, our dear brother. May the Almighty God of Creation comfort and strengthen you, Loimata, Dorothy, your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren during this difficult time. With all our love, prayers , thoughts anf best wishes always, Bob and Fai Va'ai and Family
Gonna miss you Uncle Dale. So glad I caught up with you in New Plymouth a while back. It reminded me why we as kids loved it when you brought your bag of sports gear to mission bay. Or how you would make us all laugh just by telling a story or singing a song. You've no doubt been a huge influence on others since those days in Auckland. Alofa kele aku Aunty Loi, Dot ma le fanau. Thinking you all...manuia lau Malaga "uncle Dale"
