Paul and Maureen Cotter, along with their four children and grandchildren, would like to extend their deepest sympathies for the loss of Uncle Mick. We were fortunate to have Mick visit us on the farm down south a few times over the years and we always enjoyed his company. "Mr Rogers" was my teacher in a sole teacher school at Waitetuna, near Raglan and was our teacher when we left in 1958. I recall a gentleman who had an easy understanding of children with a very obvious ability to teach and he most definitely had my respect. One of my great pleasures in life was to catch up with him in person at our last School Reunion and to share some jokes and laughter and a story I had been holding back to tell him all those years and then to realize that the teacher I had remembered was in fact the true gentleman I thought he was and a man of honour and integrity.
