Nana, it was such a privilege to have had you in our lives. I always looked forward to your summer holiday visits all the way from Mount Maunganui to stinking hot Perth when we were kids. Your loving, gentle, and caring nature made our childhood richer. Zoe and I have fond memories of you nodding or shaking your head at the newsreader as you watched the news every single night, and the thought right now still makes me laugh. Nothing got in the way of you keeping up with world affairs, and your thirst for knowledge and broadening your perspective is something I strive for. I was always in admiration of your incredible resilience throughout your life, and you lived it to the fullest. Dad and Uncle Sean are lucky to have you as their mum. I feel grateful I was able to say goodbye to you in person earlier this year, it was hard to leave you then, and it's hard to leave you now. Love you forever.
