With the heaviest of hearts, we said goodbye to our much-loved Kevin (KB) on 24 September, after a very short but incredibly hard 13-day fight with cancer. He passed peacefully, surrounded by love. Dearly loved husband of Annette. Much loved Dad of Deanna & Brent MacLeod, and Swedish daughter Johanna. Adored Grandad of Ashleigh, Sally, and Chloe.
Treasured brother, uncle, mate, and firefighter. A true family man and friend to many. He fought his last fire with courage and love.
A celebration of Kevin’s life will be held at Legacy Papamoa, 53 Te Okuroa Drive, Papamoa on Monday 29 September at 2.00pm. Tributes for Kevin’s family can be left below.

Mr Smith - I’ll forever remember you sitting in your lazy boy watching “the game” in the living room of your Trent Street house. Thanks for being a huge part of my childhood memories, for being a wonderful Dad to Dee and the best ever grandad for the girls. I’m sure you’ll continue watching over them all.
Rest in peace Kevin. Thank you for always providing a laugh and always being a happy cheeky man when I saw you, you will be missed ❤️
