GRADON, Dale Jacqueline (née Galvin)
28 June 1955 – 25 September 2025 It is with great love and sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Jacqueline Gradon, who left us peacefully on 25 September 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Tauranga on 28 June 1955, Dale was a kind-hearted, caring and deeply loving soul whose warmth touched everyone she met. She devoted her life to her family, always putting others before herself and finding her greatest joy in the company of those she loved most. Dale was a devoted mother to Leanne and Clinton, and a cherished mother-in-law to Carey and Olivia. She was the proud and adored “Grandma” and “Grammi” to Daniel, Seth, Violet, and Beauden, whose lives she enriched with endless love, laughter, and treasured memories. A beloved partner to the late Peter Le Cocq, Dale was also a much-loved sister to Kevin, Brian, Sharon, Sheryl, Erin, and Kerry. She will be remembered as a gentle, nurturing presence — a source of strength, comfort, and unconditional love. Dale found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved to spend time in her garden, surrounded by the beauty she created, and her happiest moments were those spent with her grandchildren, supporting them in all their heart’s desires. Her love and presence were the heart of her family, and her legacy will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched. Forever in our hearts.
A service to celebrate Dale’s life will be held at Legacy Tauranga, 383 Pyes Pa Road, Tauranga, on Wednesday 1 October at 10:30am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

Dale Where do we start? We've shared countless laughs and deep conversations over the years. You were the most caring and thoughtful person, always putting everyone else first. You made me promise to look after Leanne, and Dale, I will always keep that promise. Even though we are a few hundred kilometers apart right now, I will still honor this promise. You have raised two amazing children who are now raising their own families in a way that would make you proud. We are so grateful to have had the pleasure of knowing you and for you to be a part of our family too. Rest in peace, Dale, forever with Pete. Thank you for being you and for sharing your time with us, creating some amazing memories. Lots of love always, Bev and Nick
