Who would have thought that transferring two sisters from Joys Brownie pack in Whenuapi to mine in Brighton would lead to 67 years of penfriendship. We have corresponded about everything under the sun and met for two lovely holidays in England and two in New Zealand, where we fell in love with the country and very nearly decided to retire there! Joys memory was amazing. She would remind me of things written about years before and we laughed about each others kitchen disasters, decorating blunders and Christmas customs. I so looked forward to the letters dropping through the letter box and will miss the love and fun and bredth of interest that came with them. Joy was a wonderful part of my life and Ifeel sad to say goodbye.
