I always thought of you as invincible, and I was shocked to learn of your passing from Michelle. Thank you, Gerald, for all that you did for me and my family. Thankyou too for all the memories, the trips we often went on travelling all over the South Island me driving, you snoring beside me after a big night with Marshalls well until the rude awakening when I slammed on the brakes (LOL) then you would keep changing stations on the radio or turning it off just as race was about to finish (LOL) The evenings at your local in Dunedin... the Bayview Hotel... and the fun we had there. (LOL)...You helped me fight the unfairness of my redundancy from S&T....and we won!! Thankyou for all the kindness's and considerations that you extended me over the nearly 50 years of our friendship. To say you will be missed is an understatement. Safe journey my friend RIP Gerald....no more rude awakenings for you!
