Goodnight Cherry ,and rest in peace after your brave fight. Such an amazing woman, and proud to have you as my cousin, love from Bonnie Scotland, that you loved to much xxđź’•
We are truly heartbroken over the passing of our dear dear friend Cherry (Charlotte). Our friendship spanned over 62 years when Cherry and I first met as young, fresh faced naive young student nurses at the Royal Infirmary Glasgow. We sure grew up fast! I got to know Cherry well. Her values, integrity, beliefs and I recognized that she was a force to be reckoned with.which I admired and loved about her. That was the start of many adventures and escapades that we often said would have made a riveting book. We did have “delusions of grandeur!” When we graduated we went our different pathways. Cherry married Chris and emigrated to New Zealand and I married Alex and emigrated to Canada. We started our families and we were both blessed with 2 wonderful daughters. We regularly kept in touch and met up 10 yrs later and never missed a beat picking up where we left off. it was one trip of many. Cherry and Chris were wonderful hosts, making us so comfortable and welcome. We sat back and relaxed and followed what ever plans Cherry had arranged for us. I watched in wonder as Alex O’Brien did exactly what he was told to do by Cherry. Cherry was very family oriented and extremely proud of them as well as being dedicated to nurturing her friendships of which she had many. She faced the challenge of the cancer with grace, resilience and stoicism fighting to the end. It gave us comfort to know that she passed peacefully at Stephanie’s home surrounded with love and support of family and friends. We will miss her terribly and have a void in our life that will never be filled. She is gone but never to be forgotten. Sleep well dear friend. Our love and condolences to all the family.and friends. Jo, Alex, Fiona and Heather. Xxxxx
Fond memories of you from Quqy Med so sorry I can't be there.
