Barry, a man of kindness and wisdom, has left an enduring legacy. We’ll cherish the memories of our chats, where he shared his latest literary discoveries from the book exchange and his amazing life experiences. His warm hospitality and genuine care created a sense of belonging we really appreciated. We’ll miss your friendly smile and humour. Rest in peace.
Sincere sympathy at this sad time to Valerie and your family
Uncle Barry, you were one of the good guys. your wit & humour always made me laugh.
Was saddened to hear the news on Friday after meeting you both many years ago now of course via the dogs at the dog show. It was a privilege to have met Barry and I am sure somehow Matilda's arrival was meant to be.
Saddened to read to read of Barry's passing, He was my Senior Inspector of Health in Hamilton during the mid 1970's where he was a calm and supportive boss and friend. Thinking of you today, Paul & Beth Lynch Hamilton
Hi Valerie I was very sorry to hear of Barry's death. I know he has not been so well in recent times, however it will leave a big gap in your life. I enjoyed working with Barry in the Area Health Board days. He was very committed to his role and had a great sense of humour which helped get through some of the challenging times. It was good to reconnect with you both through John's association with Rotary. Thinking of you & your family at this sad time.
