Anthony I'm very sad that you've left us so suddenly. You have made a big impact in my life, gave me confidence and a role model to look up to, truly showed me how to be a great pharmacist, boss, friend and so much more. You will live on in my heart forever.
Thank you Anthony for being the School of Pharmacy's 'yes' man whenever we rang, desperately seeking preceptors for pharmacy students. You have hosted many students over the years and helped them understand what service to your community truly means. On behalf of those students and the School of Pharmacy, University of Akld - thank you, thank you, thank you. Your legacy lives on in these pharmacists and your beautiful whānau. Rest in peace, you will be sorely missed.

Anthony we have loved the time we have had conversations and laughs with you over basketball, our girls antics and our grandchildren. Your genuine love and interest for our family was a treasure. Your smile is etched in to our memory as it just made you feel so good. How could you not smile back at that smile even on your worst day. Anthony our wish for you is that you have found peace and can now rest. To Kathy and family. We stand with you with broken hearts and total disbelief he is gone. Anthony filled a room just standing still. The wonderful memories you shared with us at the service made us smile and filled our hearts. we hope in time that those memories will bring you the greatest joy when sharing them with your babies and others. You shared life with an amazing man. Kia Kaha to you all.
Dear Anthony, Kathy and family. A heartfelt farewell from all our family. We're so sorry to know Anthony has left us. I feel so lucky to have connected, danced and generally got to know Ants a bit more when I was home the last few years! Anthony, you were such a great friend to everyone, we'll remember you always with so much love! Gayble & Bobby
Ants, mate. Today we said our good byes. Your family is your true tribute. So much love. What a legacy. The evening I heard the news of your passing, many emotions passed through me. Disbelief, anger at myself for not recognising your needs, sadness at my loss of a friend. That night I felt compelled to play the songs from our UB50 playlist. I hoped you could hear that I had not forgotten. Everytime I play those songs, I can't help but glance you, and your big voice, a thought or two. Like William said, you were the reason for UB50s existence. What an experience. The everlasting memories you caused us to create. Not much more left to say. Previous tributes have said it all. Thanks Ants for being a small privileged part my life. In hindsight, I wish it had been more. Rest well mate. We will sing again.
Dear Yee family I am so sorry for your loss. Anthony helped me so much with odd jobs as my neighbour when I was on my own and the amount of times he brought me medicine to my door I’ve lost count. I’m glad I had dinner with Kathy and Anthony before I left NZ. Truly sorry for your loss. Love, Sakura
you are truly amazing friend i will miss and continue dancing. than you Beautiful soul
To Anthony We were totally shocked when Iris mentioned Anthony had passed away. He was always helpful and had a cheery smile on his face. A lovely man taken far too soon. He had so much living to do and to look forward to. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time. Phil and Ann
Dear Anthony, I’m deeply saddened to hear of your passing. I will always remember the fun times on our NZ born chinese ‘young professionals’ group trip to China in year 2006. We continue to catchup with group dinners over the years. We will miss you. Rest in peace my friend. Condolences to Kathy and family. Leanna Shum
So so sorry for your loss dearestJenny and Diana. I will always remember Anthony as a smiley cheeky wee cuz back in the day in Taradale and Masterton, all of us playing elastics in our hallway. I was very lucky to have bumped into him around Auckland over the years and will miss that. Rest peacefully, Anthony 🙏
Dear Yee Family, I am deeply saddened to hear about Anthony's passing. I still can't believe he's gone. Although I didn't know Ant for very long, he certainly left a lasting impression on me. I got to know Ant through Steve Yee after we jammed a few times on my soundstage. Ant mentioned that his 50th birthday was approaching and had a fun idea to form a band inspired by the famous reggae group UB40-let's call it UB50. Get it? "You Be 50!" We thought it was hilarious, and before we knew it, we were actually doing it! Ant really got into it; he even designed UB50 T-shirts, and Phil Yee created a special poster to promote the occasion and play live at his birthday at the Northshore venue. We took our small band quite seriously; it was quite the mix: Steve Yee, Anthony Rima, Jock Lay Yee, myself, and of course, our band leader, Anthony. Those weeks leading up to the big day were unforgettable. We practiced as though we were professional musicians, spending hours rehearsing, printing out chord sheets, and fine-tuning each song on my music stage. The energy was electric-cranking up the amps and hitting those chords made it all come alive! Every practice felt like a mini-party. We sang Ant's favourite Kiwi band tracks at the top of our lungs. "Why Does Love Do This to Me" by The Exponents was always a crowd-pleaser. We grooved to Dragon's "Are You Old Enough" and had a blast with The Beatles' "When I Was Seventeen." But what I'll always remember is the way Ant's face would light up when he nailed that guitar riff in "Losing My Religion." It was clear that song meant a lot to him. This whole experience encapsulated who Ant was to me-a fun-loving, creative guy with an incredible talent for bringing people together through music and laughter. I'm so grateful to have been part of it, even if it was just for a short time. Ant's spirit, along with his love for music and good times, will live on in all of us who knew him. He was truly one of a kind, our UB50 brother. Sendi
Dear Anthony, I am so very sorry for not dropping in to see you before I headed off to China. Will forever cherish the good times we had as childhood friends and team mates in the Easter Tournament. Looking forward to seeing you on the other side.

So sorry to hear. Best wishes to Kathy and family
I can't recall the exact moment we first crossed paths—whether it was on the vibrant dance floor, during a meaningful community project, or through our professional connections. Regardless, our lives intertwine in many fascinating ways. Anthony is a true gentleman with a warm heart, full of energy, and is actively involved in the community. His generosity and thoughtfulness shine through in everything he does. Throughout our numerous lunch conversations over the years, I've discovered just how much family means to him. He has unwavering love for both his immediate and extended family, as well as for those he cares about. He is a genuine giver, working hard while also enjoying his hobbies. His dedication to dance is inspiring; he consistently strives to grow and learn. His positivity is infectious—he has a unique ability to uplift everyone around him and always seeks the silver lining in life. A natural people person, he listens with genuine understanding and knows how to connect deeply with others. Anthony truly has a big heart filled with love for his family, friends and love ones. He welcomes everyone with an open mind and is always ready to help, greeting others with a lovely smile every time you see him. What a remarkable person Anthony is! I have no doubt that countless people in his life cherish him just as much as I do. He truly embodies the meaning of living life to the fullest.
I have worked alongside Anthony over the past eight years in my role as Manager of Northcote Town Centre. As business association chair, Anthony was a great support to me in my role, and was a strong advocate for businesses in Northcote and he made a strong contribution to the centre's success. I will miss greatly his friendly smile and the great conversations we had. Rest in peace Anthony.
