RANKIN, JUNE (nee RANDALL), Of WHANGAREI, 1932-2025

June passed away peacefully on 27 September 2025 surrounded by family, and at home, as she had wanted. Now safely in the arms of her Lord Jesus and reunited with her best friend, her devoted and loyal husband Steve.

Treasured mother and mother-in-law of Kathi & Kevin, Doug & Kathryn, Shirley & Hani, Heather & Grant.

Grandma to Sarah & Ema, Great-Grandma to Fletcher, Lucy, and Zeke.

A dignified, compassionate lady who loved to help people and lived life to the fullest. She made the world a better place just by being in it and was always up for a big hug!

June’s family is incredibly grateful for the loving care provided by the North Haven Hospice, Whangarei Hospital, neighbours, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice or the Cancer Society would make Mum’s heart sing.

A service to celebrate June’s life will be held at The Salvation Army Centre (3 Aubrey Street, Regent, Whangarei) at 11:30 am on Saturday 4th October 2025 followed by a private family cremation.
