Aged 81 years, passed away in his home, after a long fight with Leukaemia, with his daughter Becky and wife Jeanette by his side. Dearly loved and devoted husband of Jeanette for over 51 years. Loving father to Heather and Rebecca (Becky), father-in-law to Andrew and Alberto and proud Grandpa to Erica and Arianna Piccenna.
Born in London, England where he was the son of the late Gerald and Betty Cox, loving brother to the late Rosie Devall, brother to Diana Williams and brother-in-law to Colin Williams. He was also a loving brother-in-law to all his kiwi “outlaws”.
The family would love to thank all of the doctors, nurses and carers from the North Shore Hospital Haematology Clinic, Hospice New Zealand, St. John's Ambulance staff and the residents of Knightsbridge Village.

As we reflect on Davids life, we are endeared by the ways he contributed to our shared family story, and we are grateful for the moments we had with him. We had many fun social occasions all together at Kathy and Mikes in Greenhithe., May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him, and may we continue to carry forward the warmth and kindness that he showed us throughout his life. Rest in peace, David. 🩵
