A much loved and respected family friend and my ballet teacher for a number of years after being taught by her mum Ruby Conway in Kawerau. Raewyn also choreographed a large number of shows I was in, in Kawerau. She was a very takented lady. Raewyn and Alan also welcomed us with open arms and shared their home with us when we were in the UK. It was a home away from home and we'll always cherish those memories.

In my book, Raewyn wrote the sequel to Gary's book, How to be a Great Step-Sister (Even Long After Your Parents Divorce). From Kawerau as kid, to Langley/London through the late 80s to mid 90s, and then a few km's over the back as the rural crow flies for about five years just out of the mighty Morrinsville - the best Scrabble player, ever.

Raewyn was a dear friend of our family and a loved and respected ballet teacher of mine after her mum, Ruby Conway finished teaching in Kawerau. My husband and I stayed with Raewyn and Alan in the UK in the early 90's and we will always be grateful for the home away from home they shared. Sending much love to all the family. Raewyn flew from NZ to LA to be at Wendy and my wedding in September 1988. It was incredibly kind and caring of her to do that! And it has always meant a lot to me. Not to make light of it but over the years I have seen this kind of generosity of her self was typical of her. I have nothing but the fondest of memories from when we were kids in Kawerau on Grey Street and Ward Street to the past 5+ years where we stayed in regular contact by phone. In my book, she wrote the book on How to be a Great Sister, and the sort of person I always aspire to be more like.
