I first met Stella when we were both volunteers in the kitchen at North Shore Hospice - and we eventually became what we called "The A Team" for a Sunday afternoon. We had many hours of laughter together while working our shift, and this friendship soon extended to outside of volunteering too. I think I was as sad as Stella was when she had to give up volunteering - my Sunday Hospice shifts were never quite the same after then. Stella was always an inspiration to me - I hope to be still as sharp of mind and as keen to help out when I am as old as Stella was then. RIP dear Stella - forever my Ä-Team buddy! Love always, Lynda.
