Thank you Chris for choosing to be our dad and helping us become the people that we are with the opportunities that we have today. You will always be remembered in our hearts as the fun, intelligent, caring man who came into our young and impressionable lives; and provided to us the future that we are living right now You were one in a million and one of a kind! I wish my daughter and I had more time together with you; gone far too soon. Love you Dad Xo

My dearly beloved husband. We had such a wonderful life together. Full of fun, laughter music and cooking together. Our blended families became one. You will always be in my heart. Wait for me at heavens gate.
You were an amazing, kind, funny and very hard working brother dedicated to family, who managed to build a career on three continents. I won't ever forget the great times we had growing up together at Downham Road and the lovely times we shared in South Africa and New Zealand. We are going to miss you very much. You will always be in our hearts. Love you always. Rest in peace Chris. Pam, Phil & Family.
Still finding it very difficult to come to terms with Chris"s passing after nearly 50 years of friendship, hi was taken far too soon. Remember the diving trips we had together and trying to shoot the sun down during a champagne breakfast with a 12 boreshotgun, we failed, while listening to his rendition of Wild Thing. Chris will be missed by many, heartfelt condolences to Sharon and family Rest in Peace Chris Mike Lewis
We are so sorry about Chris's passing. Chris and I met at 5 years years of age in St Josephs RC school in Birkenhead. We shared a love of superheroes and going to the Collaseum cinema for Saturday matinee and then off to his mums for spaghetti on toast We both attended St Hughs Secondary school Birkenhead until 16 when we both got apprenticeships with Vauxhall Motors. We would still go out socially but we lost touch when he left the area. We hooked up through linkedin many years ago and we had the pleassure of entertaining Chis and Sharon when they came over to UK. We so enjoyed our time together when we visited in 2022 especially the bbq with copious red wine!! I am going to miss his wit and forthright opinions on myriad subjects.
Dad. I will remember you in everything I do, every milestone we reach with the kids, every journey we as a family succeed in we will share this with you in our thoughts and prayers. Knowing that you are looking down on us and placing a hand to encourage me and guide me through it all.We will celebrate you every moment we can sitting for hours talking about the great memories we shared with you always. Rest easy now pops. Love you. Cands
It is with much sadness that we heard of the death of Chris. He and Sharon were such a support to our son Michael, Candace and Erin when they emigrated to New Zealand 10 years ago. For this we are so grateful. We enjoyed the happy memories visiting the family and having braais where Chris would play his guitar and sing. So glad that we saw him during our visit at the end of September last year.
Chris and myself worked at Babcock in South Africa going back some 37 years. We would often visit various construction sites together performing Audits and checking up on suppliers. In my experience, Chris was one of the best in his field and we had so many great times and laughs together, a true gentleman. It's so hard to imagine that he is not still with us but, he is at peace now. I wish I could be there for a final farewell. Condolences to Sharon and the family and Rest in Peace old friend.
I met Chris at Aquazur Reunert in the late 70's, we hit it off straight away because of our shared attendance at Carlet Park College, living in Eastham and have been friends ever since. He was always positive and one of my besties. So shocked at how quickly he went. My heartfelt condolences to family and friends.
Deepest sympathy to Sharon and Chris’s family. I worked with Chris for number of years at Feltex. He did a difficult job with patience, passion and humour His sense of fun, musical flair and friendship I remember with pleasure. Taken far too soon.
Myself and Mark have known Chris for a long time when they moved to Torbay. Many laughs we have had, and drinking sessions I might add. Remember when Chris fell through the screen door at our house, holding a glass of wine, not one drop was spilt when we went to celebrate marks birthday in Auckland city, a good night. Many memories, to.many to add. Rest in piece Chris, our thoughts are with Sharon and family.x Sleep tight xx
My sincerest condolences to Sharon and family on the untimely passing of Chris. I had the pleasure of working with Chris in two departments at Auckland Council. He absolutely adored Sharon and spoke about her in almost every conversation we had. He was a man of integrity, wit, intelligence, kindness and humour. I shall miss him and was very saddened to hear of his death. May he rest in peace.
