It is with great sadness that we share that our beloved Mum, Nanny, Aunty, Sister and Friend has peacefully passed away at the age of 82. Born 15 November 1942, died 22 January 2025. 

Cherished daughter to Hone Te Kauru Taiapa MBE and Mereiro Cherrington. Beloved mother of Rererangi and Hone, adored nanny of Keanu and Levi. Sister to Polly and deceased siblings Janey, Molly, Kawiti, Barney and Bardia. Much-loved aunty to generations of nephews and nieces. 

She was renowned for her unstinting generosity, her numerous kindnesses and her immaculately kept home. Darling Mum, you are sorrowfully missed. Whānau and friends are welcome to come to her home Friday from 10am.

The service will be held Saturday,1pm at St Faiths Ohinemutu followed by cremation.

Hakari will follow at the Matariki Centre (next to the Novotel)
