Kevin, you had a gift for lighting up any room with your presence. Your laughter and kindness touched so many lives, including mine. I will forever cherish the memories and joy you brought into my life during my time working with you. Condolences to all family and friends. Rest in peace my dear friend.
Kevin it was a very sad day and such a shock to hear of your passing. You were always smiling and had something happy to say to everyone I thought you would have gone on for ever. I will never forget the good times we had , I always felt uplifted in your company and you were my best male friend. Fly high Marion
Wow Kev, this one hurts. Nearly 30 yrs of knowing you, and nearly 20 yrs seeing you as one of my dearest. You, Jane & Zarrie mean the world. My heart breaks for Jane & Zarrie's loss. What an honour to have been your friend, seeing your love & pride for Zarrie - I don't know a stronger father/daughter relationship than yours, & you did that Kevin, you created a bond that Zarrie couldn't do anything but be a part of. Your love for Jane was also so evident & I know it could never have faded even when you guys went down slightly different paths yet still travelling together through life. How friggin awesome. It says a lot about anyone who can move on and yet remain a family together the way you, Jane & Brent did. But knowing you guys that didn't surprise me. I have so many great memories of our friendship, your positivity, your wicked sense of humour. But mostly, just being one of the best humans around. RIP my friend, love you.
Thinking of you all whanau. Sending all our love and thoughts. Rest well cousin, Kevin - Haere atu ra ki to moengaroa ki Te Ao Marama. "Love You....from all of "41" Ma te Atua koutou e manaaki i tiaki, Aroha tino nui "41" (41 Goldsmith Crescent, Levin)
Kev would be one of the nicest guys that l got to know in my time in Nelson. Is always hard to have to say goodbye. But Kev leaves an everlasting memory. RIP Kev
So very sad and shocked to know that Kevin has gone. A man who changed the whole atmosphere of his workplace. Care and time taken , we saw a change in all who worked with him including us. Our love to his daughter who he shared about . He treasured your relationship -showed photos of eating out together,, and always talked about you.. was so proud of you and valued your relationship. We will miss Kevin very much . He leaves a huge gap behind.. Lord Jesus take Kevin into your arms and we pray your peace over his family in the days to come. Love from the Conroy family (Papakowhai
Absolutely devastated to hear about Kevin’s passing. Such a genuinely lovely and kind person. Will really miss seeing his happy, smiley face in Mobil and having chats with him. He truly cared about all of his customers and I’d recently just been telling a friend about how lovely he was and the recent chat I’d had with Kevin about his Christmas holidays with his family that he was evidently so proud of. He will be dearly missed. I am very sorry for your loss to all of his family and sending you all my love.
My Condolescents to Kevin’s family… It was a great shock to learn of Kevin’s passing when I went to see him the day after. I had known Kevin for about a year or so, and had developed a good friendship of good banter and laughter. I would stop at his work place 3 or 4 times a week, and at which time a good conversation would arise about past adventures, topics of interest, life and events of the day. He told me about his dream of becoming a full time professional pool player, and his plan to live to 110. His health plan was to follow his daughters health plan of drinking 3 litre’s of water every day, so I told him I would follow the same plan….A Real sad loss…and It’s been a privilege knowing Kevin and I will miss the happy go lucky smile and the banter…… He was a good bloke!! Mike.
Very sad to hear of Kevin’s passing and my heart goes out to Zarrie and whānau. Kevin was a lovely man and a community champion. Through his role at (Mobil) he became a friend to all the regulars. Took the time to ask how your day was going and showed genuine interest. I am going to miss our Thursday morning banter when I would pop in to get my coffee and my son’s pie. A lovely man who made the community smile. Will be missed clearly x
