Joy, gran to me, was the epitome of good person. She (alongside grandad) introduced me to sailing, a passion that has remained a big part of my life ever since. The adventures away on Blue Horizons as a kid will always be incrdibly cherished memorys although completely taken for granted at the time. Hiking, fishing, waterfalls, islands, beachs, storms, cooking, games, endless dinghy adventures and more were such incredibly rich experiences that I try to replicate and pass onto my children now. Gran was always an remarkable grounding force to me in my tumultuous younger years. She always knew when cheeky brown sugar sandwich was needed as pick me up, a hug for support or when to draw line in the sand. Her incedible cooking always had me promptly at the dinner table. She was inspiring the way she took to the daily grind, with phenomenal work ethic and a "get stuff done" attitude. She really was an amazing person, bringing love, joy (pun intended), laughter and care to all those that crossed her path. She will be sorely missed and her part in my life will be deeply cherished and looked back on with great fondess, respect & love. The world is just that little bit darker without your light in it.
