Thanks so much for those beautiful words Chancey 🩷

The first time I met Shirley was in 2019 when I was in town for work; Sam wasn’t with me so I visited on my own. Shirley was still in her own home at the time and made some delicious pumpkin soup for lunch and had some baking at the ready too; she was so hospitable to someone she had just met! Shirley always had such quick wit and never lost her sense of humour. I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to spend time with her over the past 5 years and blessed that she was such a fantastic Nana to Sam 🤍

Having just watched Shirleys funeral it was sad to see there were no recent photos of jacqueline, Samuel and chancy who visited Shirley in the rest home in the past few years

So very sorry to see you were disrespected mum by the ommission of recent photos at your funeral of your grandson, his wife and myself. Left me feeling very sad. We all loved you so much and will miss you terribly. So happy that you are now at peace with dad..

I have known Shirley for over 52 years and she was a real character always full of fun and laughter....sometimes I was a little surprised at her questions.....and her responses, in a loving way. I felt very close to you all watching the funeral on line but I was a little disappointed that there weren't more recent photos of all the family. I have added one of the happy times with Jackie and Sam with Shirley. Wanted to add more to show you how happy she was when Sam married his beautiful Chancy but unfortunately I could only up load one.....and the exciting news that made her extra happy was she was going to be a great nana in May. Rest in peace Shirley and say hi to Jack for me please.
