Stephen Campbell Everitt aka Stevo, Tipene, Steve Sir, Koro

On Sunday 9th February, Tipene passed away surrounded by whānau, aged 67. He fought bravely against his challenging illness, outlived expectations, showed incredible bravery and carried his cheeky sparkle to the end with the love and support of family and friends, who have been with him “to the max.” Too young and vibrant to leave us!

Tipene will be in his garage at Ōhope on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th February should you want to say goodbye to him personally and offer your support to the whānau.

A short service will be held for him on Thursday, 13th February, at 11am at the Whakatane Crematorium, where family and close friends will have seating preference to say farewell. 

This will be followed by some kai and a celebration at the Whakatāne Surf Life Saving Club from 1pm onwards. Everyone is welcome to join us in remembering Tipene and to have an opportunity to share their stories.
