Claud James (Jim) Wintle QSM JP

Died unexpectedly at home on 16 February 2025 (Formerly of Mangawhai).

Aged 82 years.

Much loved husband of Lynda for 47 years.

Loved father of Mark and Andrew, loved father-in-law of Maree and Megan, and Poppa to Oliver.

Active and respected member of the Mangawhai community who was involved in many local projects over the years.

A celebration of Jim's life was held at the Mangawhai Recreation Centre, 34 Insley Street, Mangawhai on Thursday 27 February at 11:00am followed by interment at Mangawhai Cemetery.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Jim. Having grown up on the farm next to the Wintle farm I have know Jim and the whole family my whole life. Jim has been the driving force behind so much of what we hold dear in Mangawhai and that is community. His loss will be invaluable to us as locals and the Mangawhai community. My heart goes out to Lynda and family.
