I initially met Julie when she trained to be a teacher many years ago as I was her lecturer. Julie you gave and gave to others and you will be missed by so many. Your dedication to children and to Camp Quality leaves a lasting legacy. Your family will undoubtedly have so many beautiful memories. Sending love to whanau.

Julie. Wow what an amazing woman. Kind, caring, generous with your time and compassion. Angus absolutely adored you during the many years you were his companion at Camp Quality. A role that many wouldn’t take on as he was quite a handful. I’m sure you came home from camp every year exhausted. I cannot express how much we appreciated you and all you did for Angus and us. Giving us some much needed respite. To your Whanau. I’m so sorry we can’t be with you today. Your Wife, Mother & Grandmother was an incredibly special woman. Thank you for letting us be part of her life. We will be thinking of you and hope all the special memories people share show you just how much she was loved. Ali & Angus Bruns

Julie was a part of our Camp Quality community for a long time and we were all lucky enough to have benefited from her existence. Julie poured so much love into our organisation and our campers got to feel that firsthand. Long after she stopped attending camps, she still supported our organisation and continued to connect with many of us - her kindness is something to aspire to. We all have such fond memories of Julie that we can cherish forever. Thank you to her family for sharing her with us. Sending much love to them now.

Julie, what a beautiful lady. I have loved keeping in touch with you over the years as you followed my adventures to the other side of the world. Thank you for always lifting me up, and sharing an insight to your life with me. I will forever hold our last catch up together close to my heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. With love always, Candace x
