Mum , You and Dad provided us with a loving and joyous upbringing. Words don’t really do justice. You were 1st residents in Shanaway Rise and founding members of St Mary’s church Northcote . Marrying a Scottsman whom we dearly loved was taken too soon his photo always by your bedside . Go in peace mum, join your brothers. To all whanau , be welcoming and steadfast as our forbearers. Thank you Nana Connie, for loving and acknowledging me from afar, for being a steadfast and caring presence in my life, for your letters and cards and gifts throughout the years. I'm so sorry I didn't bring my kids and husband to come visit before you passed. Thank you all for sharing stories both in person when I visited years ago and in the celebration of her life.
