It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, Koro, brother, uncle, cousin, John Tairi Taute on Thursday 20 February 2025. John was the beloved son of Te Kore o Te Rangi and Numi Taute, devoted husband to Kuata Dawn Taute, loving father to Jemima (deceased), Laurie, Patti and John-Paul. He was a cherished brother, cousin and koro, and a wonderful friend. 

 John will make his final journey this morning from Pōneke to visit his mokopuna, Orlando (deceased), at the urupā in Turangi before making his way back to Pōhara Marae in the afternoon, until he returns to his final resting place, with his brothers and loved ones (details to follow).
