To Kallen and brothers and whanau. Your mum such a lovely loving woman and it's hard for you all to lose your rock, but no doubt is in a better place , maybe chatting with the ones who went before. If there's a heaven that's where she'll be and watching over you. Lotsa love, Barbara and boys

Mum was the most wonderful mother that anyone could ever wish for. Right from the start of my life she had to be there for me because I was a very sick little baby. Even though I have two parents - Mum to me was like a solo Mum. She did everything for me. I've got a lot of good memories with Mum down at 15 Mayne Place in Snells Beach. One favourite time Mum always had was taking me to the beach - and seeing me walk into the water on my knees and having fun. Thank you for being a wonderful, kind human being. I love you heaps Mum. You will forever be my rock and my saviour. Love you Mum with all my heart. Love Kallen.

To Kallen Hi Kallen, it's Lisa (I was visiting at Ranfurly everyday for 4 years to see my grandfather Jim - we used to take up all the space over in the "naughty corner" of the lounge, we were always the loud ones). I am so very sad and sorry to hear that your gorgeous mum, Jannine has passed away. I wanted to let you know how much it meant to me to have the fabulous and special friendship from you and Jannine while we were at Ranfurly. You both have such strong and amazing personalities and it was a real highlight to talk and joke with you and Jannine, and we used to read the Daily Horoscopes and decide whether we wanted to keep them for the day or not, or we'd choose someone else's for fun. Jannine and I also loved talking about the flowers in the gardens, her fabulous collection of hats she wore, and whether we'd hide the tv remote so she didn't have to watch the boring shows during the day. It was a real privilege to know you both and I wish you and your family all my sincerest condolences. My kindest regards Lisa Butler
