Eileen, I remember the importance of Ara Street in our families lives, from my grandfather's time there with his brother (Fred) and his sisters (Ethel and Ivy) next door, and my own family stopping in for a respite after journeying from the north. My time there also when I came to Auckland and started my draughting career and I visited you and your family in the weekends. Later in life I did enjoy our cups of tea on the patio and the reminiscing of family memories. You are but for me the last of the "Mohicans". I wish I had been able to catch up in recent times and I must apologize for not getting back to you after you called, I was however unaware of your circumstances and time flies as you get older ........ you never did get back home?
