BAIGENT, Marie Phoebe (previously Cairns, nee Bird):

Passed away suddenly and peacefully at Stillwater Life Care, on Saturday October 25, 2025, aged 98 years.

Loved wife of the late Peter Baigent and John Cairns (Ashburton), loved mum of Beverley and John, David and Sue, Tahlia and Kris. Beloved step-mum of Chris and Mandy, Steve and the late Di, Maree and David. Much loved Nana Marie of all her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.

A celebration of Marie’s life will be held at St. Stephens Community Church, 61 Tahunanui Drive, Tāhunanui, Nelson at 2pm on Wednesday October 29, followed by private cremation.
