I shall miss the very many phone calls with Rob in the last 4 years since his beloved Noeline passed. We often shared tears, then laughter and memories and reminising about all sorts from old times in Horsham Downs and Taupiri! He missed Noeline dreadfully and will be back with her now I am sure. I would like to think that my little contributions somehow made life a little easier for Rob over those years. Rob often spoke of the great ethics my family were brought up with, drilled into us by my father Bert, inherited by my sister Noeline, my brother and 2 sisters and I. It is a privelige to have been able to see Rob and Noeline's family grow into the outstanding citizens they all are and their children, Robs wonderful grandkids, follow with those same solid ethics. Rob was so proud of them all. Our love to you all Ann John Steve and Jane Burton Cambridge
Unfortunately I cant be there I wish I could be. Rob and I had known each other since the Mid 50s. I used to frequently stay at their Farm on Kainui rd Taupiri. as we got older I visited and stayed there more often Sometimes it was for months at a time and didn't want to go Home as it was like home to me.. . I loved it on the farm with Rob doing Chores like Brining in the Hay Feeding Pigs . Making Silage . Robert loved to drive. He drove for Keith Hey Homes pulling Houses Drove Milk Tankers from the Te Rapa Dairy Factory and after they moved to Whangarei drove for a Trucking Company there . Time went on we both got married had Children who became friends.. We emigrated to Canda in 1979 and after all this if I could have some of it back it would be with the Lindsay Family with Rob on the Farm.
