PENNEY, Marie Lana (formally Kerr-Bell). 8 October 1932 – 6 March 2025. With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, after a short illness. She was a remarkable woman—caring, nurturing, and devoted to her family. At 92, she gave all she could to stay with us, her mind as sharp as ever, but her body weary. Loyal and loving wife to the late Reg. Cherished mother to Susan, Sandra & Peter, Donna, & Deborah. Adored Nana to Nikola & Martyn, Jared & Karina, Carleen & Steve, Garrison, Nicole & Caleb. Proud Great-Nan to Shanelle & Danny, Brad & Tegan, Emmerson, Ashton, Ayla, Jada, & Indie. Treasured Great-Great-Nan to Riley, Austin, & Hugo. Her love and wisdom will forever be in our hearts. She was the heart of our family, and while we will miss her dearly, we are forever grateful for the love, laughter, and memories she leaves behind.  Our family is deeply grateful to Whangarei Hospice for their care and kindness during this time.
