Phil has been in my life forever. Way back when I was a small child it's been said that Phil and his equally fabulous Dad (my beloved 'Uncle Jimmy') were the only people that put up with me because I was such a pain!! Phil still thought it would be a good idea to tell me about the Loch Ness Monster while our families holidayed by Loch Ness though! Fast forward many years after that & my first New Year on my own with young children Phil rang me, from NZ, to see in the New Year with me over the phone so I wasn't by myself ..... and there's the essence of what a beautiful, huge hearted, loving person he was. I'll miss you forever Phil. I'll think of you every day. Rest peacefully you fabulous one ❤️❤️ Much love to all the family ❤️❤️

I've know Phil longer than I can remember. Through him I got to meet Irene Jeff and Justine. We're nearly the same age and I have 2 beautiful girls just like him and Louise. We made plans to cycle along the South Coast of France many moons ago but it all fell apart when we couldn't get past Paris and turned back. The best thing you did was move to NZ. I was always in awe of you and your lovely family. You've taken these final steps with grace. Your my inspiration to seize evey day and my motivation to run the 2nd Leeds Marathon for the MND community. Rest easy and run with me xxxx

Got to know Phil back at school, and spent 2 enjoyable years in Design A level class. Great times with many raucous laughs. Phil even managed to wangle my help in stripping his bedroom walls on Alky? Spent time socially with Phil as well. Rest easy buddy, till we reconvene in Bobby Gees classroom upstairs x

I only saw Phil a few times in my life, but he made such an impression on me that it feels like yesterday when I saw him last. Strong minded with such a great dry sense of humour, with a bloody naughty laugh! Cheers Phil. I’ll see you on the other side for a warm pint of ale.
