I am deeply saddened to just find out about the passing of Betty. We had some great times together having worked side by side each other for about 2 years volunteering at hospice. Thinking of Betty’s family. Will miss seeing you around bet Lots of love Jess xx

Sorry to hear of the loss of your lovely mum Betty From the Guise Family

Thank you for opening your heart and home to me while I was Studying at SIT. Your home cooked meals, warm home and conversations kept me going during a time I didn't know anyone in Invercargill. YOu have one of the biggest hearts I have ever known and will be missed by so many.

You have left a big hole in our lives. We will miss giving you your birthday lunches and the big cream cakes. You will be forever in our hearts.

My dearest Betty, how I will miss you. The memories we shared, especially our shopping adventures, will forever be etched in my heart. I can still picture you by my side, as I dragged you all around town. Yet, through it all, you wore that beautiful smile of yours—never a complaint, just warmth and love. It’s was a heartbreaking moment Betty to know you left this world peacefully. I am so sorry to read of this lovely lady's passing , visiting her when I come home always a cuppa and something nice to go with it , and chat to keep up with the news . Betty was my lovely Mum's cousin and last time I visited , she passed on some photos of my Mum's family in the Waianawa days. Now at rest with her Peter. My thoughts go out to the family she adored.

I arrived in Invercargill in August 2015 from India. My first job was in Hospice in Yarrow Street. I met you there Betty in Hospice and forever we became friend. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to know you and life wasn’t easy at that time. In so many ways you touched our heart and became our family and “nana Betty “for my daughter Kyra. It was heartbreaking moment for me and my family to know you left this world peacefully. You will be missed forever and all your memories will remain in my heart. We love you so much and I know you are rocking in heaven and resting in peace and love with Peter. Love Gargi and Family.

Betty was one of those wonderful Southland farming ladies, who worked hard, loved well and enjoyed life. She always had a smile and a good yarn to share. Together again with Peter. My deepest sympathy to Leanne, Brendan and their families.
